Under Eye Products
There are many types of under eye products and sometimes they have similar goals, while other times they treat different signs of aging. Here is a quick list of under eye products for those of you who are looking to cure stuff like under eye bags, dark under eye circles, puffiness, and discoloration under the eyes.
1. Eye Cream
An eye cream is an emulsion, cream-based product that is heavier than a serum or gel. Eye creams usually promise to deliver the entire range of aging signs around the eyes, and in my experience, aren’t always the best option for treatment.
2. Eye Serum
An eye serum is usually the most advanced formula because the ingredients don’t have to bond together so tight, as in a cream product. A serum can be organic or cosmeceutical, but it seems they are the most popular (some say the “best”) under eye products around.
3. Eye Gel
An eye gel is a fancy marketing term – I think. Who would really make a gel that was to be applied under the eyes? Gels are traditionally a sticky product and that is the last thing I desire around my eyes. I haven’t seen any eye gel that gets spectacular reviews, but I guess I’ll keep an open mind and see what I bump into in the future.
